The project explores human presence, memory, and transformation beyond fixed identities, focusing on gestures, matter, and traces. Over a decade ago, KAB’s founders, then involved in their own arts organization, rallied to support a friend with breast cancer. They developed an idea to express the human experience of breast cancer by reimagining the traditional canvas as a participatory sculpture. After some experimentation and partnerships with the right people, they developed and tested a technique for capturing chests in a plaster. The result was a white cast that was then customized by artists. The success of these chest casts as conversation starters, awareness builders and fundraising tools ultimately leading us to what is now the non-profit The Keep A Breast Foundation. Through art, we can uniquely communicate and express deep, complex concepts and emotions.
An art talk on the roof during sunset, live music and later a proper dance in the heart of the Riad. Retreat for tea and a game of backgammon. Meet new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, and share what not to miss in Marrakech.
An evening of conversation, quiet glamour and incredible music set within an oasis of art, architecture and atmosphere.
The project brings together ten emerging artists from Morocco and West Africa to explore the circulation, translation, and transformation of gestures — whether artistic, social, or poetic. Each work investigates forms of memory that are not written, but transmitted through the body, materials, and practices. Some of these works took shape during a production residency held in Casablanca in September, dedicated to West African artists and organized by the association Beaux-Arts Solidarité Maroc, thus extending the dialogue between local creation and trans-African dynamics.
The exhibition has been initiated by Ilyass Alami Afilal – BASMA, is curated by Farah Maakel with a scenography by Yasmina Echair. Artists included: Tesprit, Yanis Ratbi, Xaadim Mbow, Mariam Niaré, Fatine Arafati, Issam Fariane, Soukaina Bouali, Theophany Adoh, Sarah Mounia Kachiri, Melanie Ebtissem Defoin.
In Between Blues is a large scale artistic and cultural project, presented at DaDa Marrakech from 24 January to 30 March 2026, in official partnership with the 1-54 Marrakech fair. This strategic collaboration places the project at the heart of the most significant gathering of the contemporary African art market, offering exceptional visibility to collectors, curators, and international institutions. Conceived as a constellation of experiences centred on the colour blue—pigment of the soul, living memory, and a symbol of connection, fluidity, and resilience—In Between Blues brings together contemporary art, music, gastronomy, transmission, and spirituality. The project is led by ABLAKASSA, an independent platform founded by Ivorian designer Jean Servais Somian and Franco Rwandan curator Roger Niyigena Karera. It champions a transversal approach, creating spaces where art becomes a vector for transformation, exchange, and hospitality.

HUSH HUSH presents a niche, site-specific edition conceived for Marrakech Art Fair, unfolding over four days (Thursday to Sunday) at Rotisserie de la Paix, a long-standing local institution embedded in the city’s social life.
This edition brings together a 100% local lineup of artists from different backgrounds, whose work is rooted locally while circulating internationally. The program favors intention and depth over scale, creating space for contemporary sound to be experienced with focus.
The opening night, Thursday, is dedicated to artists exploring Raï and North African musical forms, approached through digging, performance, and electronic reinterpretation. Friday features a 100% female-led program, highlighting artists who are actively redefining the local
electronic and alternative music landscape. Saturday and Sunday continue with carefully curated sets that reflect the diversity and ongoing evolution of Morocco’s underground sound practices.
Sound is treated as a central material of the project. The edition is powered by a Funktion-One sound system, sponsored and produced by Swell Solutions, offering a precise and immersive listening environment.
Taking place within a venue shaped by everyday ritual and collective memory, this HUSH HUSH edition prioritizes listening over spectacle. Gathering becomes a deliberate cultural act, allowing local practices to be encountered as present, conscious, and fully engaged with their time.

Institut français – Marrakech presents for the first time a solo exhibition of Franco-Moroccan artist Mustapha Azeroual (1979), at the Maison Denise Masson – maison du dialogue, in the heart of the Medina. A unique figure on the contemporary art scene, the artist explores through his work the relationship between art and science. He investigates light, time, and perception through experimental photographic processes. By merging historical techniques with contemporary innovations, he creates immersive and sensorial works. His research places him at the center of current reflections on the image and its materiality, questioning at once the relationship between the tangible and the intangible, the mechanisms of perception, and the notion of innovation in the act of creation.
