- **12:00 PM** · [Reimagining the Photo Album with Matthew Finley](https://artweekguide.com/events/reimagining-the-photo-album-with-matthew-finley) — Workshop at Museum of Contemporary Photography (MoCP), Chicago. Matthew Finley, an artist in the MoCP permanent collection, gives a lecture and then leads a workshop on turning family and personal archives into albums for personal or fictional storytelling. Participants can use their own pictures or provided images. It draws on his book *An Impossibly Normal Life*. RSVP needed.
- **12:00 PM** · [Chromatic Fields by Mason Pott](https://artweekguide.com/events/chromatic-fields-by-mason-pott) — Show at VSG Contemporary. A show at VSG Contemporary for Chicago Art Week 2026, featuring oil paintings by Chicago-born and based Mason Pott. Each begins with a photoshoot of a floral arrangement, then goes onto a hand-cut aluminium panel shaped to the bouquet's outline, so the work is part painting, part object.
