WHAT FACES DO NOT SAY

What faces do not say is a group exhibition curated by Yasmin Sarnefors and produced by OFF Record, featuring works by Ibrahim Meïté Sikely, Lassana Sarre, Mohamed Saïd Chair, Nadjib Ben Ali, Chama Bekri, El Hadi Fekrouni, Yasmine Laraqui, Beau Disundi Nzazi, and Nyaba Léon Ouedraogo. The project explores human presence, memory, and transformation beyond fixed identities, focusing on gestures, matter, and traces. Set within a previously closed space at La Taverne, one of the oldest restaurants in Guéliz, Marrakech, the intimate setting—removed from traditional exhibition circuits—encourages a close and attentive encounter with the works. OFF Record is a curatorial and art advisory laboratory founded by Yasmin Sarnefors, developing projects attentive to place and its histories, and activating atypical spaces as sites of artistic encounter.
