SUMMARY:Opening: I wish to die in autumn moonlight even in darkness not to
 be lost
LOCATION:Galleria Lia Rumma\, Via Stilicone 19\, 20154\, Milano\, MI\, Ital
 y
DESCRIPTION:Running parallel to The Women Alchemists\, which Kiefer conceiv
ed for the Sala delle Cariatidi at Palazzo Reale (open through September 2
026)\, the exhibition at Lia Rumma further expands his continued research
of the “alchemists\,” delving deeper into the role of other female her
oines who\, over\n\nthe centuries\, made fundamental contributions to mode
rn science through alchemy. Joining this female pantheon\, painted by Kief
er\, are mythological figures such as the muses Calliope and Melpomene\, d
aughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne. The exhibition title evokes a poem by 19 t
h century Japanese poet\,\n\nBuddhist nun\, and ceramist Ōtagaki Rengetsu
—to whom Kiefer also dedicates a painting which is presented at the over
 ture of the exhibition.\n\nhttps://artweekguide.com/events/opening-i-wish-
