Alice Diop – Geste de Consolation (presented by Miu Miu)

Geste de Consolation is filmmaker Alice Diop's first exhibition, commissioned by Miu Miu as Art Basel Paris Public Program Official Partner: a guided path through four spaces centred on acts of consolation by Black women artists, mixing film, photography, sculpture, readings, dance and music. It includes contributions by Zanele Muholi and Mary Lee Bendolph, a video installation by Diop, performances by Nadia Beugré, Angel Bat Dawid and Sistazz of the Nitty-Gritty, and Simone Leigh's bronze Sentinel (Mami Wata).
