# AKAA – Also Known As Africa 2026

The 11th edition of AKAA, a fair of art and design from Africa and its diasporas, takes place at Le Carreau du Temple in Le Marais as part of Paris Art Week. It adds a new AKAA PHOTO section for photography's bicentenary, and Gabriel Dia shows the monumental installation *Mother's Heritage*. RSVP needed.

11th edition of AKAA (Also Known As Africa), the art and design fair dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diasporas, under the glass roof of the Carreau du Temple. New AKAA PHOTO section marking the bicentenary of photography and a monumental installation by Senegalese photographer Gabriel Dia ('Mother's Heritage'). Tickets EUR 16 (reduced EUR 11), free under 12. Hours: Fri 23 Oct 12:00–20:00; Sat 24 Oct 12:00–20:00; Sun 25 Oct 12:00–18:00.
